The primary function of the MedBen sales team, headed by Mike Crum, is to provide our growing network of independent agents with the tools they require to serve their clients. These tools take numerous forms. Dedicated in-house agent support staff answer questions regarding plan benefits, provider network availability, and agent licensing, fulfill requests for quotes and marketing materials, and handle a variety of issues. External MedBen sales representatives, strategically located throughout our service area, work with agents to assist prospective, new and existing groups. These reps also meet with agents, in groups or one-on-one, to discuss MedBen products and services, and provide training and continuing education. Closely tied to the sales force is the MedBen marketing department, managed by Cindy Steen. Marketing supports agent efforts with brochures, forms, reports, and other marketing supplies. Detailed analyses renewal packets are available for agents of self-funded groups. And for certain plans, our internal marketing team can create customized materials.
