The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) requires certain group health plans to offer former employees with continued health coverage after leaving the employer group. MedBen HIPAA
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requires the employer or health insurer to supply a creditable coverage certificate to employees that lose coverage. MedBen HIPAA administration offers a choice of standard administrative service or certificate-only service, the latter for employers who wish to handle administration themselves.
