Convenient and Confidential. MedBen Worksite Wellness is designed to offer personal assistance to individuals who wish to improve their overall health status. Primarily conducted over the phone, the program offers a convenient and confidential way to receive individual health advice from nursing professionals who specialize in preventive care.
Better yet, you can get the whole family in the act, because the Worksite Wellness program is also open to spouses and dependents on the Health Plan.
Individual Attention. Offered through MedBen and its clinical partners, the Worksite Wellness program matches up Health Plan members with a registered nurse who serves as their personal coach throughout the year. Through regular phone contact, the nurse will help them set practical goals and tackle these goals over time. The “coach” also can assist in meeting any physician recommendations for health improvement.
Wellness plans are individualized and based on an initial Health Risk Assessment conducted over the phone by the assigned nurse. If someone has a chronic condition, such as diabetes, asthma or a heart-related problem, they will receive specific guidance on how to best approach their lifestyle. This is also true for anyone who has a family history of one or more of these conditions. As they say, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!”
Solid Support. Tips, tools and support materials are provided to help them succeed. Referrals also will be made to resources available in your community.
Routine reports help the employer see how well individuals are doing in the program and chart measured improvement in the overall health status of the workforce.Want to Learn More?
